I'm shocked and saddened to find this news. I haven't seen her in many years, but I never stopped thinking about our friendship and her wonderful spirit. I've always hopped to connect again and catch up with each others lives. So sorry. She was something very special. I almost wish I hadn't found out and could still think about her conquering the world. From what little I have found online, it looks like she was though. I never met anyone as intelligent can caring. When I knew her in High School, she cared a lot about her brother. So sorry.

My sister Shin Ae has left a lasting impression on me, and is missed very much. Her time was too short, but she's on to new adventures now, a new chapter in her journey. The following is a poem that our grandparents had framed in their apartment. To me it encapsulates an important aspect to how Shin Ae led her life, and encouraged everyone whom she touched to live theirs.

The Gestalt Prayer

I do my thing and you do your thing
I am not in this world to
live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to
live up to mine.
You are you
and I am I
and if by chance we find each other,
it's beautiful.
